Iâm feeling slightly woozy after the regression, and Iâm grateful that Gino suggests we go to the accommodation he booked just in case. Itâs only a short drive compared to the hour back to El Cielo, and Iâm not in the mood to be in the car too long.
Iâm not prepared for the breath-taking view as we hit the coast and the horizon stretches out, blue and gorgeous for miles around. It reminds me how much Iâve missed the ocean.
I expect Gino to pull up to a simple motel, or even a BânâB, after all, itâs only for one night, but instead we arrive at a grand Spanish gothic building that looks more like a fairy-tale castle than a hotel.
A concierge is waiting, along with a valet to take the car. I imagine, staying here for a night must cost about as much as a month of my rent back in New York. Inside, everything is clean and modern and classy.
I feel totally under-dressed in my shorts and t-shirt but no one seems to mind, they probably assume Iâm a celebrity or something, and right now, I feel like one!
Gino checks in at the desk and leads me to the elevator where he presses the top floor button labelled Penthouse Suite. The man doesnât do things by halves.
âGino⦠this is really nice of you butâ¦â
âPlease accept my generosity, cara miaâ¦â Gino says, and there is more pleading in his eyes than Iâve ever noticed before, itâs as if heâs finally ready to let his guard down, and Iâm one hundred percent here for it.
âItâs hard for me to tell you how much you mean to me, Mira⦠words are so inadequate. At least let me treat you like the queen you are.â
Well⦠if you insist!
I blush, and nod. âOkay.â
The doors to the penthouse open, and itâs more stunning than I could have imagined, not only is the suite huge and luxurious and gorgeous, but Iâm so overwhelmed by the glory of the ocean view that I barely notice the splendor I find myself surrounded by. Not only that, but thereâs an enormous private infinity pool, looking over the tips of the tower turrets of the building and⦠thereâs a hot tub! Mamma mia!
âGinoâ¦â I start to say, but I canât seem to find the words.
âYou like to swim, no?â
âI do.â
Gino steps towards me. He wraps me into his arms and kisses me deeply, artfully, exquisitely, and Iâm lost⦠for moments that might as well be hours because time seems to disappear around us, leaving nothing, but the sensations of our lips, tongues, hands⦠of our bodies pressing together gently, of our heartbeats and our breathingâ¦
A fire burns inside me, softly at first, then hotter and hotter until I can hardly stand it, and when Gino finally pulls away, Iâm more than ready to jump him.
âMira,â Gino says. âThereâs nothing Iâd like more than to make love to you right now, but youâve had a big day and I think itâs best for you to have some time to process.
